      Cloud data analyst performs technical and contextual in depth research on cloud services market and trends. The research is an integral and essential component of the company knowledge base of cloud applications, compliances and standards, and media’s interest within the cloud domain.

       

      Duties and responsibilities

      ·        Manually assess cloud applications in terms of features, security and usage

      o    For example: assess Dropbox access and data security level based on whitepapers and public comparisons and review

      ·        Technically characterize cloud applications in terms of communication patterns

      ·        Identify risks and trends in cloud security based on security blogs, articles

      o   For example: identify recent data breaches

      ·        Study and analyze cloud related standards and compliances

      o   For example: analyze the security requirements demanded by HIPAA and the services that might be effected

      ·        Generate summary reports, presentations, graphs and charts

      ·        Respond quickly to ad hoc questions and analysis requirements coming from the mgmt. team 

      Qualifications

      ·        IDF intelligence units veteran – advantage 

      ·        B.Sc (Or B.Sc student) in Statistics/Computer Sciences/Mathematics/industrial engineering

      ·        Familiarity with internet and communication technologies and protocols (HTTP, SSL, DNS,…)

      ·        Familiarity with web search tools (Google, Bing, etc.)

      ·        Experience in scripting with Python programming language – advantage

      ·        Experience in data analysis with Excel

      ·        Experience in SQL

      ·        Experience as researcher – advantage

      ·        Experience with protocol analyzers (such as Wireshark) – advantage

      ·        Self-learner and team player – ability to communicate and cooperate with other individuals/teams

      ·        Independent and Curious

      ·        Good writing skills

      ·        Fluent in English
