    • The recommendation team in Israel is a fast growing team responsible for designing and building recommendation algorithms for a wide array of Microsoft products such as Windows Store, Xbox Games, Xbox Movies, Groove Music and more. We develop cutting edge machine learning algorithms that serve tens of millions of users around the globe.

      We are looking for a data scientist student (part time job) to join one of the best machine learning groups in the country. A perfect candidate would have both coding and data skills with some real world industry experience in both.

       

      Responsibilities include:

      o    Help developing machine learning algorithms serving millions of users worldwide

      o    Working with world class researchers and data scientists on complex problems

      o    Developing recommender system and other supporting systems

      o    Working with big data, statistical analysis and extracting insights from data

      o    Data transformation and manipulations (filtering, grouping, cleansing, etc.)

       

      Requirements:

      PhD. or MSc. student, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field

      o    Excellent coding skills with proven experience, preferably in C#/Java

      o    Hands on experience working with large data sets

      o    Hands on experience with SQL or other data manipulation/query language

      o    Ability to work at least 3 full days a week

      o    At least 1 year remaining before final graduation

      o    Passionate about big-data

      o    Team player and enthusiastic

      Familiarity with machine learning, data mining algorithms or statistics is an advatage
